Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010 will be Crostini Grille's last day of operations.

We gave it a good run but the economy just simply got the best of us. We hung on for as long as we could, and more than many. It is with our heads held high, but our hearts heavy, we reconcile the last days of a great relationship with the restaurant and with you. Most of you have shared your special moments with us; graduations, birthdays, family reunions or just nights out with friends and family. We thank you so much and are honored that you trusted us for whatever brought you through our doors.

We really did feel like a family that happened to put on great big dinner parties every night. Most of our staff has been with us for over 3 years, some have been with the restaurant longer than us. And like any family, we've fought along the way, laughed until we cried and celebrated every accomplishment together. They are great people, and we are proud to have played a part in their lives. Even our high school students who started their first jobs with us and the prior staff that have moved on have touched us deeply. The relationships will continue, but the camaraderie will be missed.

We are relieved that our exit allows us to give notice and have a chance for some closure. Our staff needs it, we need it, and we hope this gives you a chance to come down for "one more (insert-favorite-dish-here)". We will continue to serve lunch and dinner and a "great big Easter brunch." Make reservations if you can, it would be great to know you're coming. Bring a friend or two, this is still the place to celebrate, even if you are just celebrating Tuesday. We are looking forward to each day now as they are precious.

As for what's next, someone else did buy the restaurant. We were surprised to hear it was sold, so we don't have much information on the concept, I guess we will all have to see what develops together. Keep up with us and the staff through our facebook page: Crostini Grille. We'll update who is where so you might see your favorite server again, or have a host open a different door. Bob and I will continue to work in the hospitality industry; after all it's what we do.

We wish you all well and hope that 2010 will bring more prosperity to you personally and your businesses. The economy is on the mend, and we hope you stick together. Whether you need a sandwich or a new hammer, shop local where you can, the $10.00 you spend matters.
